I wanted to apologize for the lack of tour updates – things have been crazy busy, with a lot of good and a lot of bad along the way. As soon as I get some extra time, I will try to post some of the bizarre and amusing events that have transpired.
The good news: Our show in Cluj-Napoca, Romania was amazing! Full venue – positive energy – people singing our song lyrics aloud – all around the best show we’ve played…
The bad news: Touring Europe is MUCH harder than we ever imagined and MUCH more expensive. The unexpected $4500 cost to lease that van seemed insurmountable. But, when we arrived to pick it up, we discovered that it was FAR too small. We are now in a position of having to rent a 2nd car to keep the tour moving forward. Just surviving over here is a challenge and our limited funds are draining rapidly. Soon, I may be in the unfortunate position of having to scale back the tour or send band members home.
The solution: If we can advance sell a bunch of t-shirts/EPs/posters, we should be able to stay on course. If you believe in what we are doing – or just believe in supporting independent art – now is the time to act. If each of my friends just donated $2 we would have enough to fund the tour. Really, we would.
